Yeah ok i nerd-raged right there...but still ..I teach web based development at the uni here but i still consider myself an avid gamer and definitely not someone who is opposed to progress. What i do oppose though areall those marketing BS that are turning us back in my eyes..

as some smarter men said, 60$ games > 1-5$ games, and my own thoughts, 17 mln is far from current pc users, like 10 years away at thisrate

so yeah, 17m ipads are more units than HP's 13m shipped PCs. doesn't change the fact that apple has about 2/3 market share on tablets - ~25m tablets of all sorts were sold in that quarter, while the PC vendors worldwide put out 86m PC units. if you add in that tablets are a hot market right now while the PC industry is stalling for whatever reasons (people waiting for new tech or not having money cause they just bought an overpriced tablet  ), changes the whole picture quite a bit, doesn't it?
anyway, where was i...yeah, balance and stuff. when the last console generation pushed mainstream gaming and everyone here was (and still is) raging about it and spamming the derp pear, it led to the bloom of indie games. and the exact same thing will happen when people get fed up with andgry birds #20.
imo, the rest of the iphone 5 event was far more rage-worthy and filled with dumb shit. yes please, a loop for my ipod because i'm too fucking dumb to hold it in my hand! OHMYGAWD THREE NEW COLORS! new connector because i always lose with the 50/50 chance when plugging in the old one (or usb). it's called LIGHNING!

i laugh and people that say that ... why well they say a PC is a LAPTOP hurdurhur the magic of apple users
ok so you get to a computer store and the clerk will say : We sold 15 mln Apple LAPTOPS and only 1mln PC Laptops ...oh and yeah we also sold like shit ton... like 30mln of hdds ,gfx and other upgrades for PC .. but still pc don't sell well ... pcs will die
thats why they don't get pcs .. when a new CPU is out for APPLE you have to BUY A WHOLE APPLE COPMUTER AGAIN but on PC you only buy the CPU or a mainborad and if your ram is not compatible with it a few new sticks of ram... and thats it... for them you buy 3 parts and not a PC... when the other camp has to buy the whle thing again just to have a cpu upgrade |
