Personnaly i think Michael Keaton was the one with the real Batman profile. I sure hope this one will not be a kiddy environment like Batman & Robin, the one with Mr.Freeze...geez that one blows.

Eh I doubt it will get an R rating. It'll be dark but it won't be R rated. This is a big comic book movie we're talking about.

On a positive note, at least it can't possibly be any worse than Batman & Robin.

I personally liked Val Kilmer as Batman, although he didn't get along well with Schumaker (i.e. the guy who killed Batman) and so we were stuck with the underwhelming George Clooney in one of the worst superhero films in history. Evil or Very Mad

Well I ment like BIG superhero ones. I know Punisher, Blade movies, etc. were R but Batman is Batman. That and Superman are DC's biggest comic books probably. And Punisher isn't that big. It wasn't like Spider-Man. Plus I think it was only made for like $30 million (and made about $30 million in the box office) and it was done by Lion's Gate. BB is done by WB and it's coming out during the summer.

Gary Oldman is my alltime favourite actor! And Christian Bale is good too.

When I saw Neeson here, I was thinking: "Qui-gon" & the line from Kingdom of heaven "Posta dei Falchione! Guard of the hawk!" ... that man has, like Morgan Freeman (and many others) never acted.

Take any role Gary Oldman has done throughout his career, and compare it to his others.

Then take Neeson, or Freeman... they just read their lines, they never act. True theatrics is being able to NOT seem like your self.

Charming personalities, and perhaps fitting for certain roles, yes ... but Gary Oldman you can put into ANY role, and he will shine.

it's not a sequel! it's another take of re-telling the batman story. It's how he became batman. Neutral Batman 1 'Burton' was how he already was batman Very Happy

Sequel? You mean prequel Shocked

Gary Oldman is definitely one of the best, his roles have been so diverse. Although he tends to portray wackos, possibly out of personal preference, I don't know.

Freeman and Neeson do seem to be the same character in alot of their movies, but there is still real talent there, they can convince you of that character in every movie they play.

Why they used a model like that is beyond my view...it looks horrible, dragster anyone?

Why does it looks so bad? Why not use something similar from batman 1,2?

BTW im I the only one who've seen burton's batman and batman returns?

They are dark, they are great, not like b3, and batgay4.

Sure im gonna see this one, but I can't say im over convinced it will be as good as burton's batman.

Sadly there's a lot of teens who will see it, and probably base their rating on "OMG da r0x kate is so Uber rax0r hot", they do this a lot on IMDB...

But then again, we have good actors, Bale as lead Smile
Neeson Smile

Movie score, not by elfman (once again im suprised) in stead they are going for Newton howard also an excellent composer...

"Then take Neeson, or Freeman... they just read their lines, they never act. "

Your either on drugs or just in a mood to flame people...

A Look at neeson's IMDB cast list (shinder's list anyone+countless more movies) ,do the same thing with freeman

B They've earned their place as actors, probably 20 years ago, at least for freeman

C Evry actor read lines, Then take Neeson, or Freeman... they just read their lines, they never act. "True theatrics is being able to NOT seem like your self."

That's called acting in case you didn't know. Even the best actors can make bad moves in a movie, but saying neeson of freeman can't act is just stupid...

D I could say the same thing about oldman, always getting the bad guy parts, then again im not a fan of his work, but I don't go on saying he can't act or anything

E "that man has, like Morgan Freeman (and many others) never acted."

F You probably think stallone, scwarznegger can't act either... even action/sci-fi movies needs good acting in order to convience the audience they are rambo, terminator, etc etc

What drugs are you on? Check IMDB, freeman has acted in over 30 years!!!!

This is not a flame or anything, im just pissed by his childish comment, sure were not forced to like evryone, but "can't act" wtf

I'm not the one flaming here, you are. What I said is fact, even though it's sad.

Quote:

They've been in lots of movies, they still don't act though. They're good at reading their lines convincingly, but they're not character actors. They fit in certain roles because they're convincing at some things, but it's not acting, nope.

Quote:

B They've earned their place as actors, probably 20 years ago, at least for freeman.

Well, there's a difference between being an established actor, and being good at acting.

Quote:

That's called acting in case you didn't know. Even the best actors can make bad moves in a movie, but saying neeson of freeman can't act is just stupid...

Quit the flaming.

Like I said, they don't act, they read lines convincingly, but they can't change their body language, their appearance, their accents, etc. - you look at any movie with Morgan Freeman or Liam in it, they are never any different, they're just themselves, look at any Gary Oldman flick, he's different, you can barely recognice him in some of them, that's acting.

Quote:

D I could say the same thing about oldman, always getting the bad guy parts, then again im not a fan of his work, but I don't go on saying he can't act or anything

"Ok"

Quote:

F You probably think stallone, scwarznegger can't act either... even action/sci-fi movies needs good acting in order to convience the audience they are rambo, terminator, etc etc

Being used to be on camera, and behaving like your character are different things. Arnold knows how to read his lines, but this doesn't make him an actor. Stallone? They're much the same.

Quote:

What drugs are you on? Check IMDB, freeman has acted in over 30 years!!!!

They're called reality. And yes, he's been an actor for a long time - doesn't make him good at acting. There's no difference between his characters other than his clothes and his real life age. They all speak the same, they all behave the same, they all have the same body language. Bah! That's not acting.

Quote:

This is not a flame or anything

You could've fooled me.

"Then take Neeson, or Freeman... they just read their lines, they never act. "

I've removed the quoting marks, to keep this short and not a long list.

"I'm not the one flaming here, you are. What I said is fact, even though it's sad." (I should let that comment speak for it self) Rolling Eyes

HA! what you say is a fact? Hey that's an opinion from your side, it's not a fact. I know kid's wanna belive evrything they say is canon.. I shouldn't need to go on based on your first comment about they can't act, and the one your saying it's a fact....

Your the one started saying they can't act...

"When I saw Neeson here, I was thinking: "Qui-gon" & the line from Kingdom of heaven "Posta dei Falchione! Guard of the hawk!" ... that man has, like Morgan Freeman (and many others) never acted."

This comment speaks for it self, evryone can act, we act once in a while in our own lifes. But good actors will transform to another character like oldman, nees, freeman...

Hell even The Rock act's then it's a question if he's good or not. When the actors convience the audience they are seeing the character, they've succeded.

If you say something like that, your bound to have people all over your comments, don't go to imdb the trolls would eat you alive.

I have respect for other people's opinions to some degree. If you don't like their work, fine I respect that, but don't say they can't act... a better word would be"I don't like they way they are acting or I prefer oldman over freemans acting...

BTW... in case you didn't know... some actors use more of the body language then it's required and some only need their eyes and words to transform into another actor.

Good example, Al Pacino his a very "hands-on" actor if you know what I mean, that's his way of being an actor.

I agree oldman can go from a normal cop to an insane mtf Shocked (leon anyone)

Since what you say is a "fact" I think this discussion is pretty much pointless, you can't talk discuss anyhing with someone who think's their own input is canon/fact...
