|

So I got the idea from the medal of honor thread as it's got talk about 4 different games in it.
Rules:
1) Talk about any PC game, doesn't matter how old.
2) No tech talk.
3) Keep the flaming out please, supposed to be a thread of fun and stuff, wanna flame do it in PM's.
4) See 1.
5)Keep stupid spam haha not funny posts out. Uselessvoid is for that
The breaking of these rules will result in massive flogging by Sabin's rage of doom with her choice of blunt weapon.
Now..lets see how cluster fucked this thread can get with 123472394 different convos about different games.

Fine.
I'm interested to see what will happen with the Age of Empires franchise. They had a nice teaser with AoE3 and haven't heard nothing since...

Pirates! It's the game I have replayed the most times, both on the C64 and in the excellent remake that came out for PC a few years ago. Thinking of it, it was the first true GTA! I was able to pull people out of their boats, plunder towns and it featured a fully explorable "free" game environment.

skypez, when NHL08 comes out, I'm going to kick your ass |
whats better on flatout 2 is having your friends get together on a server using Skype (not spyke, you don't want to use me, I have std's) and ganging up on the in demo derby and shit |
Talking about FlatOut, where is that new FlatOut that was supposedly coming to PC as well as 360? |
Flatout Carnage is xbox360 exclusive now. Has been for awile IGN said it was on PC but if you go to their homepage it sasys xbox exclusive

No dude, they had a teaser in the box about the next games in the series, where AOE4 is supposedly set in WW1/WW2 and AOE5 is in the future. If I find the pic, I'll post it here.

You missed out man. Resident Evil basically ripped the whole concept (fixed 3d-camera, horror-theme, lotsa shooting) from the old Alone in the Dark games. It was really something back then, scary as hell from time to time
Speaking of scary games, did anyone get around to playing Clive Barkers Undying? I feel that was also a title that was quite a bit before it's time, you know horror fps with shitloads of half-cheap scare-moments, a couple of years before doom3 and fear.

I might be wrong here but in the remake, they didnt have the whole treasure-cave thing did they?
Cause i remember back in the amiga/c64-version you could always look at a picture of your treasure-cave to see how well you were doing
Oh that reminds of me Civilization, why didnt they have the whole palace-picture upgrade-thingy in civ4

I heard they were gonna pick it up with a space-based aoe. Or at least that was an idea they are throwing around...
I dunno if i could get back into the series, aoe3 pretty much ruined it for me. Watched every e3 and preview video of the game in high hopes and they pretty much just chunked the strategy right out of it by totally removing formations. Instead they made it a pretty-looking But totally run-of-the-mill gamplay-wise RTS.
But that's alright since there are a bunch of other worthy rts's out there and coming up soon.
