So a couple of friends and I are gonna' toss a bunch of 360s in a room for some old school same room 360 LAN (System Link) play.
Two of the machines are good, 1 of them is banned from Live!
Say, for example, we try to give Borderlands a run. The two good systems will have patched the game at some point or another, and obviously the banned one will have not.
So, is there a way to patch the banned machine's Borderlands copy? Or is there a way to clear the patches out of the two good machines?
Borderlands just example, other games will be played too. Whatever solution is presented, will it work for any game?

I'm fairly sure you can still use TitleUpdates on banned machines ... at least NOW, I remember when MS used to go scorched earth on their system bans, locking out tons of functionality. To update your game you need to download TU for it and then either stick into Partition3 on your HDD - if you've got a transfer/USB kit - or onto a USB stick.

Oh and one last thing; I recommend investing in a transfer device or some other way of hooking your 360 HDD to the PC. Putting TU on the memory stick is one thing, but you have to keep that memory stick in whilst playing as there's no way way to transfer TU from stick to HDD. Getting a transfer kit means you can just drop all the updates onto your HDD and forget about it.

SystemUpdate_9199 didn't that update gave back all banned xboxes they functions back ?
its the April 2010 update

Aye, the 2010 update undid a lot of the 2009 "Bitch Slap©" MS gave the banned crowd  Couldn't get updates, couldn't install games, couldn't unlock achievements, corrupted your profile... Microsoft went fucking apeshit over banning people, lmao! I think the profile still corrupts so it doesn't work on a non-banned machine, but the rest is back to normal now.
