Quote:
n an era where authentic journalism and critical analysis have been sacrificed for ambulance chasing and hyperbole, Michael Moore has basically fallen into the same trap. Even worse, instead of attempting to transform the political landscape by appealing to a broader psychographic audience, Moore has simply catered to and played off the angry left, driving his spear further into the wound of the American collective consciousness.

And that is no way to heal a painful rift. If that was ever the point.

Quote:
There is no doubt that Michael Moore is one of the best documentary filmmakers in the history of the genre. Purists can balk all they want. Sure, he's more Leni Riefenstahl than Errol Morris. And he doesn't have quite the touch of Jacques Cousteau. But what Moore lacks in sheer cinematic dexterity, he more than makes up with effective political commentary. And, at times, he's very funny.

Jackass? no.

I hate Bush. In general I hate american culture, and american politics. I thought the movie was in general weak. I've seen better high school documentaries. The first half of the movie was absolutely fantastic. After he was done talking about the connection between BinLaden and the Bush family and all that and started talking about some other similar areas, the movie lost all focus. It was jumpy, and all he was doing was trying to show the bad (which isn't necessarily wrong) and in doing so, he let the emotions get the better half of him. I just found it to be bush bashing, and it was all hype. Such a shame, I was really expecting a great film.

Poll is pretty stupid...

Some people live on contreversy... Look at Mel Gibson and Passion of the Christ if you need examples. He made huge $$$ just because everybody wanted to see what his movie was about.... Michael Moore is simply trying to score some $$$ as well it seems like..... You don't have to agree with his views, but everybody entitles to their own opinion.... If you have some bucks, then you can also make a movie based on your own ... Smile

That other movie looks pretty good. I mean, I may not agree with the guy, but it does look like a fun movie.
