|

So im going to new york and miami for 2.5 weeks in august. Any tips and ideas on what to do and see? Planning on staying on manhattan in new york, and find a nice hotel close to the beach in miami.
Might take a boat trip to Bahamas from Miami.

You can always walk down 4th west street, there is pretty much bar on every corner.
There are pretty good bars near hudson river with a nice view, not sure how late they are open during summer,
There is a Polish night club you could visit plenty of sluts to pick from
when I wake up I will try to list more places to visit

Burger joint at the bottom of Le Meridien (just before Central Park).
Go there for lunch one day - its dirt cheap and the best hamburger ive tasted (old school hamburger, not this expensive cafe shit). http://www.parkermeridien.com/eat4.php
I was there with the wife in 2008, we packed light, knowning we wanted to bring home half of NY - 7kg when we took off, 40kg back home :0)
Have a good trip!

Holy shit - how weird. I too today decided to do a trip from Atlantic City (casinos!) down to Miami. It's a 20 hour drive, so maybe stop somewhere en route. I had no idea the Bahamas were so close from miami, so I will be doing that too. I won't be going until next summer, so will watch this thread with anticipation!

As for the subject of an actual steakhouse: if the NY branch of Le Relais de Venise is as good as the London one, that's the place you want to go.
http://www.relaisdevenise.com/newyork/
Best fucking steak I've ever had with an amazing sauce (but like I said, that was in London so YMMV). No menus or anything, they just ask how you want your steak and that's it
They then serve it with fries, salad and..fuck I need to go back to London now

The absolute best burgers I have ever had were at a place called Shake Shack! If you like burgers, check that place out!!!
I also recommend Central Park, it's a great place to walk around, and it's pretty damn big.
Times Square is worth strolling down at least once, although it is crowded as fuck. Also 3984208942 people will try to get you to go to their clubs, bars, and comedy shows. Once in awhile you find a good one. I went to a dueling piano bar once and it was pretty damn sweet.
Now that I think about it I haven't done much in New York aside from go to shows and things, haha. Central Park is one of my favorite locations though.

So i've been back a few days now. Had the time of my life and fell in love with new york. Such a vibrant city teeming with life and constantly in motion. We stayed in central manhattan so we had just a few blocks to the park, empire state, broadway etc
Went to a really cool club, 1oak if anyone here is farmiliar with it. The music was bouncing, the chick very hot.
I didnt like miami as much, but the highlight of the trip was at a shooting range in miami where we got to fire an ak-47 and sigsauer 1911 .45 pistol. The ak-47 was a monster, and what struck me was how easy it was to hold it and fire. All those years playing fpses probably
I really recommend everyone to take a trip to new york, theres so much to do and see. They were shooting a scene for the tv-show, person of interest near central park when we were there one night, got to see michael emerson and the other guy.
Overall a great trip.
