I know that someone here (probably Leo) mentioned, maybe a year or so back, a video renderer for MPC, that can simulate the true motion effect in movies etc.

I searched a bit but I couldn't find a thing, can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am asking, because my friend has LG lcd that has that true motion thing, and every movie/series I watch at his place looks so surreal. That is it looks better (combined true motion + 1080p movies) than when I watch stuff at home, and I remember seeing that effect via that renderer so I got interested in it again Very Happy

It's called "Motion Interpolation" and there's a few ways of doing it, the "simplest" would be SVP; the "Smooth Video Project"

Or you could use other plugins along with AVIsynth;
