Oh I mixed up the names
You never need graphics, but it't nice to have.

They should just quit the mmo market. They have great ideas, but their execution is terrible.

heh a game that was a TECHNICAL DISASTER on PC ... it wil only start on Nvidia Forceware 81.98 [at that time we had 95 or 97 LULZ ... image a new game THAT COULD NOT START ON THE NEWEST DRIVERS TODAY because they removed a 8bit texture compatibility in Nvidia drivers and yur forced to install un-compatible OLD OS GFX drivers to be able to play this game ] and you have to re-edit your System Registry to change the main program installation Temp folder that was ALWAYS C: [imagine at that time people only used C: for Windows and had 10/80gig hdds with partitions like D: that had a shot ton of free space but this game will only install on c: ]
if you could FIND THOSE DRIVERS and REGEDIT your registry to change your temp install folder ... then you will experience a game that none other can beat even today ... maybe Heavy Rain , Farenheit or Omicron ...

^^ None of the above is true in any way. I installed Dreamfall only a few weeks ago, installed to my F: games drive, had zero issues with drivers, zero issues with controls, no RegEdit tweaks needed, plays perfectly well on my PS3 controller using MIJ.

http://forums.longestjourney.com/showthread.php?t=2565
at lest FunCom cared and like.... after 2 years later finally made a 151.46 MB patch to fix the Nvidia removal of 8bit texture compatibility
so don't BS next ey
oh and my little one yeah you can install to any drive BUT the TEMP drive that it installs first is C: if you have not 10gb free space on C: even if your destination drive like you write h: has lets say 300gb it will not install and spit out LOW HDD SPACE popup box
here you go a post AGAIN taken from the official FUNCOM FORUM
Code: | "Go to Start -> Run:
Type RegEdit
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion
On the right side is something called: ProgramFilesDir
*Write down the current path of the ProgramFilesDir, you'll need to change it back after install*
Change this value to a drive that contains 7+ gigs of space
Install Dreamfall
*Go back into the Registry, to ProgramFilesDir, and change it's value back to what it originally was.*
See ya ! |

even here on our forum :
CaptainCox wrote: | Hmmm, I got some wierd artifacts to, its only like for e.g. the edge of that fountain at the plaza (1st level) the top edge is sort a electric blue. It looks like its some shadows or something like that that turns elcetric blue. I also run a NV 7800GTX 512. I will try to revert to an official driver, running the latest beta now 84.43, the latest official is the 84.21. Maybe it wont bring much and Nvidia simply have to update etc. |
Reg67 wrote: | FnF wrote: | What a fuck installer, I get an error that I dont have enough space, but I cant even select what drive I want to install it on |
That is the most unbelieveable thing ive heard in ages.. I dont know anyone who actually uses C: to install games/apps.. averyone i know (and myself) uses D: after all if your c: goes arse up then you lose all those saves/projects etc.
Install things on d:,e: etc and its less likely to go down on ya..
fricking eck this is 2006 not bloody 1991 .. people do not install things in the default dir (ok my gran may have done but she was 84.. and not exactly computer literate) |

From the official Aspyr site:

Issue
After starting a New Game from the Main Menu, the graphics become scrambled.
Discussion
This is due to a conflict with the Nvidia GeForce 6600 and the GeForce 6200 running with the latest Forceware drivers. Installing the previous Forceware drivers fixes this issue and can be downloaded from here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.98.html
I am gonna install them now. I have GF 6600 GT with 84.21 installed and have this problem
Edit: Works fine now with 81.98 |
even on our forum ... but yet Sain *i has no errorz*
and yet Siban *it works on my PC*... and then suddenly a smart remark and then he realized he didn't have the Securom 7.1 CD version or the StarForce DVD version but a no drm-free preinstalled Steam version with patch 1.64 implemented .... check your head next time mate
and oh wow and yet again Witcher 1 ... heh i start to wonder if he played it back when it was released any anyone with the know how hack this modded NeverWinter Night engine to make it run flaw less with just a fixed cache just like ... i don't know GOTHIC 3 with speed tree by default was set to 128 mb if you set your have to 1gb this game runned again flaw less
but hey Sianb is ignorant and it shows , i just love how he cries wolf and ignores everything to think he won on internet
