Don't worry. Only tip I have to give.

Just get comfortable with driving, once you've got that under control you can learn the rest and eventually that'll be a second nature anyway (and a lot of it already is). Don't panic and just enjoy the actual driving part and you'll be fine Smile

Remember where you need to look. Actually you don't have to look everywhere while driving. Usually infront and to the right is enough.. Don't preoccupy yourself.. then you'll start making mistakes, get nervous, and more mistakes..

Here in NL, you usually have to look at all mirrors at all times like a moron. All examiners I have seen (twice for me and a couple with my friends) had a fetish for mirrors.

If in doubt which mirror you should be looking in, look in all of them to be safe Smile

Yep, same here.
Oh and looking at them without turning your head is not enough, no sir! Mad

My instructors back then were really big on mirrors and turn signals. Always make sure you check your blind spots before changing lanes, that'll give you a big plus.

Same here Laughing

Generally examiners pay much more attention to these kind of things (->safety related) than the quality of driving itself (assuming that you act normally/follow all the rules/speed limits). Small mistakes can happen, it's natural since you're inexperienced. Just make yourself comfortable and take it easy, you'll be a pro driver in a jiffy!

And if you REALLY want to impress them, show them what you learned in need for speed drift.

It's Poland so when it comes to examine, look in all mirrors like. A moron (but still keep most attention on the road)

Just drive comfortable Smile

remember, don't think of pedestrians in terms of points.

also, biggest suggestion i can make, is dont be hesitant. i almost got blindsided by a bus once when i was learning. yeah it was kinda my fault maybe, but it was a roundabout, and i looked to my right once, nothing there, looked again, and suddenly there was a bus rocketing through... i already had about a quarter of the car into the roundabout, and HE had right of way.. not to mention a wee bit bigger than me... but thankfully i didnt panic or hesitate, i sped up and and made it out ok.

dont think my ass unclenched till an hour after i got home.

Not to scare You but polish examiners can be real dicks. I once stopped the car in the middle of intersection and just opened the door and went away after screaming "stupid fucker" at the guy who failed me for pedestrian couple of meters back. Woman was still comfortable on the walkway and he said I almost hit her. Wtf

If possible, reserve the examination time for friday afternoon (if they just assign you some other day of the week, just lie and say that date is no good, how about friday?). The examiners are much more forgiving and in a better mood, and if you're the very last one for the day, they just want to get out of there as fast as possible so they won't drill you as hard. I've had 3 separate driving exams (motorcycle, car & truck) and passed them all on first try.

Or if you want to go hardmode, have your driving exam on monday morning. Very Happy

Bonus for artistic impression!

I'm just glad that the old guy who took my driver's exam for my car didn't recognize my Carmageddon car key chain I got from the Max Pack. Laughing

He means theoretical classes. They don't put people in cars right away without passing the internal theoretical exam in Poland.
LOL, those kinda chairs...
The theoretical exam in Norway is very random, a DB with 500 different questions. Supposedly devided equally into different categories. Don't remember exactly but I think we have 45 questions and can have a maximum of 7 errors. At least back when I took the exam.

I remember that my instructor always reminded me not to look down at the stick while i was changing gears. I got used to it eventually, because when i started driving i missed the proper gear couple of times.

If you are driving a car with an automatic transmission, then it's a piece of cake.

Iv got to admit I also looked at the stick when I first started driving Very Happy

In Norway we can start driving with a person over the age of 25 when we are 16. So that means next year I can teach my brother how to drive... Very Happy But no way in hell its gonna be with one of my cars!

Everyone should have to learn to drive using a stick shift. THEN, when they've got their license they can choose to bet a car with automatic transmission.
