hi guys! got a question regarding the installation of windows 7 on a new motherboard and cpu. got the windows 7 original oem version, and, according from what i've read, it can't be installed or even, it won't work on upgraded systems, or in systems that have changed more of the 30% of the hardware.

is this true? done a quick google search and couldn't find anything usefull regarding to this question.

i would hate to buy it again Mad

You can install it, but you may have to verify the key again. In the worst case you have to call MS and verify via phone.

It isn't necessary but it's most welcome to reinstall OS after mobo swap to avoid potential issues.
