@Twist
God no, I have a 46" LCD-LED, but I barely use it anymore. Plasma FTW! I barely notice any burn-ins. TBH the 46" made me pretty dissy at times :/

Try to look for some kind of manual online, I know I found some obscure info on how to pull apart some old TV part by part online
Like service manual or sth...

its just clipped, ive fixed every samsung ive had with replacing the caps once you do that it will look as good as fucking new on the display.
The set of caps ( all of them mind you here ) was like under £10 it was that or another £250+ at the time, was a no brainer.

problem is when you visually cant tell what cap is broken, you can replace them all ( not expensive ) but alot of work depending on the monitor. thing is with anything that has caps electronics wise its the caps that wear out before anything else. And once you read about it and gather some experience you will appreciate the "full japan caps" label on electronics.

Its either caps or the regulator 9 times out of 10... and with the smaller samsung monitors like he has or the 226bw variants its a handful to replace for next to nothing, and when you replace them the caps you are buying are normally of higher quality.
Why you think peeps your t.v's/monitors etc fuck up after so many years or less, its a life cycle of cheap caps/parts its done on purpose to keep you buying.

yup even if they dont admit it , those caps nicely last 4ish years, outside of warranty.
But price is a factor too. when you look at the best caps costing 15 cent , compared to cheapo chinese 5 cent ones. you think come on now... if you care about quality why not put in the 15 cent ones? well 10 cent difference times 20 caps is 2 euros. still ... 2 euros is nothing when you buy a 200 euro monitor. But see it as the manufacturer. you produce 100 000 of those monitors, 100 000 times 2 euro is 200 000 euro they would miss out on.
