|
 |
How do I do this? I got mgs2 substance for PS2, and since it is 6GB I can't put it on the HD loader by installing it as it is dual layered...
however even if I install it through my PC (I tried HDL Dumb and WinHIIP) it still doesn't work! I even tried all the compatability modes!
Is there something I'm missing here? Like a patch or setting or something I needed to set? I have heard it's possible to install mgs2 substance via PC and it works perfectly. Plz help!

next time, check out www.ps2hd.com. They're the experts of this stuff. Also, WinHIIP 1.6.5 has NO PROBLEM installing DVD 9... please explain? Make sure you have enough UNFRAGMENTED space free, sometimes, u may have to back up a few games to your hdd first, then delete them off ur ps2hd, then copy them back on.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, though -- some PC-DVD drives cannot read the PS2 games the way they should be read, I have noticed if they're older... So, it's usually better if you download the image for your backup purposes, rather than try to make your own -- that way it'll be more reliable. Also, it will already be DVD9-merged or whatever, if it's already downloaded as a .iso. This is the reason they're around, after all.
