As I'm about to finish wolfenstein 2 I need a new game to play. So... Destiny 2 or Diablo 3? I have not played Destiny 1, but it's from bungie and people seem to enjoy it. I disliked the Diablo 3 demo some time ago, but I loved the old games and maybe I was just overly grumpy at the time. I need some action adventure so... which one is it? Smile

AC Origins! The lootbox stuff is negligible compared to other games. And its a great looking, expansive and fun game.

Those two are not really action adventure games. Very Happy
If you want a hack & slash, pick up Path of Exile.
If you want an online shooter with loot, I think is safer to just wait. (Escape from Tarkov is months if not at least a year away from release and the Beta is not really for everybody)
If you want something more action adventure. Resident Evil 7 and NieR: Automata are two good choices from 2017 that share some action adventure traits (I haven't played Origins, people say good things about it). Dark Souls III would be a good option if you didn't already play it. Did you try Salt and Sanctuary, The Surge, Dead Cells, Hitman, Dishonored 2, MGSV TPP, Styxx 2, Batman Arkham Knight, etc?

Destiny 2 is fun to play if you've got 2 other people to play it with consistently. The game isn't the greatest thing out there, but it's massively saved by the coop.

Unfortunately, even with friends, if you have time to play consistently, you'll still feel about done in about a week and a half.

Diablo 3, I think you might be a bit late to the party, as while the game is fun, you need to play it with a party of another 3. Playing with randoms isn't fun, every run will basically equate to a dash to the end of the rift, kill the boss, leave, join another game, rinse and repeat. Fun only in a party, can be fun for around 2 weeks while you play around with different characters & a few builds, but becomes repetitive soon. You can fully gear a character in around 2 days of casual play in adventure mode.

Story mode isn't anything to write home about, but might be fun to do once.

Game i'm looking forward to right now is AC Origins, which might fit the bill for you as well, however i haven't played it yet so eh. We both need to do our research.

If you've got a decent rig or a PS4, i would also recommend Nioh, as it's got a lot of replayability, very long campaign and also decent souls style coop.

Destiny 2 is overhyped anus.
As i wrote in its thread i got bored by it after not even 3 days. And generally i love those kind of lootshooters.

If you want an action adventure, +1 to AC:Oranges.

To be honest, id say The Evil Within 2 (recommend it!) is almost as much of an action RPG compared to Destiny 2. I love both, but Destiny 2 is pretty empty after doing all the quests sadly. And at least playing alone becomes very repetitive and a fucking grind.

I don't have so much time to play anyway as you can see how long it took for me to finish Wolfenstein 2 Laughing

AC Origins:
Cool idea, but I'm waiting for the yarr version. I was severly disappointed from the last AC games as they consisted of 3 mini games x 100 times. This seems to be different but I won't buy before I can try.

Path of Exile:
I played it around 2013-2014... It was very clunky and when I tried it some years later (2015?) it felt more polished, but also was some weird mix of online play with randoms. It didn't came close to the enjoyment I had with Torchlight 2 or Titan Quest. I bought both Van Helsings but didn't finish em Sad

Escape from Tarkov:
Somehow this doesn't gather my interest in the slightest. I have fun with PUBG right now and am actually considering buying Battlefront 2 (everybody else ->) (<-me)

Resident Evil 7 + Neir:
I haven't seen a single piece of gameplay for these two, maybe I need to check them out.

Dark Souls III:
Finished it.

Uhm.. which one? Codename 47? I loved that one Smile
And the second one was good too, but none of the others. I bought a hitman game like 1-2 years ago because people here said it was good... or I thought that they said it was good.
But after I saw some outlines around the enemies and sneaking past them felt like a stupid numbers game I stopped playing after 5 minutes. I was outside in a garden? Anyway,
Uplay can suck my dick.

Yarred it and I don't get what the big fun factor is supposed to be with this game :/ I was playing Witcher 3 at the same time and all games seemed pale compared to it,
so that might have tainted my perception.

wasn't this one riddled with bugs?

I will play the games in single player... Don't they have good SP quests and gameplay?

Nioh: Seems interesting and I'm ok with playing it with a gamepad.. The setting just seems weird Smile My Xeon + GTX 970 are good enough for it I hope?

King's Bounty:

Evil Within 2: Never saw a single piece of gameplay.

Thanks so far guys!

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

@PumpAction

Could try AC:O with a plati account for 3-4 bucks to play some odd 3-4 hours or ask someone like Neon to lend you a hand for a little time.
Don't miss out on Dishonored, unique art style, very great world and concept. Prey is quite similar to that too if you like how Arkane does this stuff.

And most of all, don't fucking miss out on Batman Arkham Knight, the issues were completely resolved and it's the best Batman game of all time.

D3 and Destiny 2, nope. I wouldn't recommend it, if not for the social aspect, they'd both be boring as hell. Barking orders at friends in destiny 2 is fun tho. grinhurt Lots of coordination and communication required, you need a pack of competent friends to work with.

Nioh is cool, not sure how well it runs on PC though as i've played it on the ps4pro, but i'm sure some people here have tried it by now.

Destiny 2 is very bland and i really can't recommend it in good faith, if you want a game like that Warframe is a much better option and free on top of that.
I personally like D3 it's a solid action rpg and entry in the Diablo series and very high quality as expected from Blizz (after they got rid of all the bs in the addon) if you haven't played it i would definitely give it a go.

I also recommend Nioh since you seem to like ARPGs and finished Dark Souls 3 it's a very fun game and combines Dark Souls style combat with Diablo's loot orgy which makes for an interesting mix, your specs should run it fine.

Unless you really need to play with KB/M i don't see how Nioh's port is piss poor?
I just played for an hour with my brother on his PC which has comparable specs to yours (i5 4670k, gtx 970, 16gb ram) and it looks great and runs at rock solid 60 fps on 1080p everything high/on but shadows on med.

If it's action and adventure you seek, AC Origins is really the one to get (of the newer games). Or go for the original, and play The Witcher 3 Very Happy
For older games, the Arkham series are all very good, including the last one that was bugged on release but has been improved a lot since.
