I have a 16GB Fraps video (7 minutes, full hd 30fps). I'd like to compress it to 600-1000mb. Any ideas?! Handbrakes own 264 fucks the quality up (looks like heavy noice cancellation). ffmpeg in Handbrake only has one setting qp, which always produces very blocky output.
How about a simple commandline x264 encode ( http://www.x264.nl/ )? It appears that you don't need any of the additional features that handbrake offers.
Just run "x264.exe <input_file_name> <output_file_name>" and see if the default settings suit your needs.
X264
18 near perfect HD
23 DVD quality
29 vhs quality
next time when you go HERPA DERPA on me with " Any ideas?!" the new hip saying "i am to stupid to do IT do it FOR MEZ".... get AVIDEMUX the new kind of all all kind of program compressor for the duuurrrrr generation
or if you brain dead go pick up FORMAT FACTORY the go by the hand your still 2years old and shit your pants compressor
and if your mp4 is/are done and have x264 join/split/demux/mux them with MP4BOX for the Doalz plz generation [don't use h264 i it , it doesn't respect synchronization fer frame sound]
