I just noticed that downloadable game called Scott Pilgrim vs. the world.
The old school gfx look really nice, and gameplay seems to be good. I'll get it now for PSN and tell you how it is.
For X360 it will come out on the 24th.
Has anybody else here played it already?

Can you save your game to resume it another time?...Estimated time to rape the game in "easy" difficulty?..i mean,it's like a Streets of Rage + RPG..so there should be checkpoints or something?

So you can go back to get more money on other levels (and beat the Ex's again?),buy the power ups? and "Scott's delivery" (from the demo,whatever),...and still save the progress n stuff?...dude,that's epic...tell me there are "Game slots" so you can load em n stuff..
I dont kno' if i'm saying this right...There are 3 difficulty levels and ...dunno..Care to explain better,"please"?.. (No trolling,PLEASE)

I've only played this single-player so far, but I'm loving it. It's deliciously old-school. Looking forward to Shank now too!

I haven't played that much, so I can't answer all your questions. But I believe that you can go back to earn more money. And your characters level up in the process. I don't think there are "game slots" like in having 3 different saves, but I haven't played that much yet.
The style is really great, it's so well done I get nostagic about all those great arcade games

This game is awesome. However, only for fans of old school beat'em ups, especially River City Ransom (which is my fav) which this game borrows heavily from.
Cheap way to get money:
Spoiler: | Need at least 2 controllers. Sign in a 2nd player as guest and pick one of your char's who has some money. Then go to a store and have the quest give you all their money. Then leave the store, save, & quit. Then reload and repeat. Since they're signing in as guest, the game doesn't save the fact they gave your main char all their cash. Pay off the $500 in the 1st store in the first level and all the items are only $5 (including a 1500 XP item). You can max out all your characters in minutes |

@posonousj: how do you save n quit?,by finishing the boss of the 1st level?
Also,do i have to do ALL of the levels on the max difficulty?,thou it's piece of cake, since Scott's already maxxed out (xcept speed,50) and can beat a level in ...5 minutes or less, depends
Any more info about trophies to do easily, like the "do not get hit untill u reach the boss"?

Depending on how much money you need to trade between characters, I found it easier to finish the entire level. This way, you can just load up the middle part and go right into the Video Store and transfer money. Once you get someone to 9999.9 in money, you simply just need to make it to the video store, since that is the max.
If you want to do the invulnerable trophy: find a way/person to press and hold the Block button for the entire first level for whoever you want to get the trophy and have the other person beat everyone until the boss. If you block, you won't lose HP so you're golden.

@DV2: Here's a simple way to get the "Invulnerable" trophy...
This method has been floating around on GameFAQs. I tried it this morning and it worked for me.
* For best results, input the Power of Love cheat: Square, Square, Square, X, O, X, Triangle
* Start level 3-1, then as soon as gameplay begins, return to the world map.
* Start Level 3-2 and use the sword to defeat the bionic girl without taking a hit.
* Proceed through the backstage maze and the trophy will unlock as soon as the boss battle begins outside in the alleyway.
The only person you need to defeat without taking a hit is that bionic girl on the main stage.

Yes it is! Played through it with a friend 2 days ago, we had a blast. And he always hated the 3rd person tomb raiders.

local co-op only. get the demo and check it out.
ffs... get all demos and see which you prefer. scott pilgrim was a bit wonky to start at first.
i'm used to the new derp action games where you constantly run if you press hard enough. This is old school where you must tap!

So... this has been pulled off of PSN and XBOX live and there'll never be a PC release? Did someone at least rip the sprites and backgrounds?
