About the Game:
Quote:
Awakened by an oncoming storm, you open your eyes to discover yourself in a strange, dark room—tucked away in a house that’s not yours.

As you play the game, it changes—subtly, almost imperceptibly—to reflect your perspective.

It's a horror game unlike any other, and as you'll discover, its truths are entirely subjective.

Features:
Quote:
an intimate, story-based adventure
a horror tale that you help determine
haunting, atmospheric soundtrack
gorgeous illustrative pixel style
accessible, simple keyboard controls

Nice. So this concept is gaining popularity. It was done really well with Emily Wong (ME).

Although I'm not interested in playing the game but the tweets are an excellent read.

Reminded me of Alan Wake. Gives off a very strong psychological thriller vibe.

It looks like it could be fantastic, but sadly it's crippled by one glaring omission; the lack of any save/load ability. It's a game that you have to play from start to finish in one sitting.. and I don't even know how long the game is in the first place.

Did they fix something about that? I don't usually play in sessions more than 1 or 2 hours, and I don't want to start this game all over again every time.

I guess it must be a reasonably short game, since this is on their site.

Quote:

Q: How do I save in the game?

A: Home is meant to be played in a single sitting; there is no save function. You'll thank us for it, trust us.

Ok thanks I'll try it out. $2 isn't that much, I pay more for a drink in my lunchbreak.

Btw, you should really use headphones. Clearly uses some binaural (?) "recording" made for headphones. It doesn't right over speakers.

It certainly feels good to play, deliciously atmospheric. I'm going to play it properly tomorrow =)

Sorry mate, I'd help but I'm not opening the spoiler Razz If you're looking for help on something specific, try checking JayIsGames - that site usually deals specifically with guides/spoilers for indie and flash titles.

We've updated your download links to the newest version of the game. This v1.2 updates and fixes the following:

character walking left automatically (let us know if this isn't fixed for you; we are having difficulty replicating this bug)

phantom footsteps in transition screens

certain choices being the opposite of what they should be

inability to progress in final area

one important discovery not sticking the way it should

game can now be run in windowed mode (F4)

To download the newest version:
Open the email you received from "BMT Micro Orders" click on one of your three download links, and you should see the v1.2 Zip download in your browser.

Searched out some more and seems like only the people who ordered the CE got the password to the safe in a 3.5" floppy diskette. Sad

Pictured here in this collage:

So I was right after all! Atleast he will make the code available soon. Smile

the safe combo will eventually be made available for all. Right now it's CE only (for reasons that will be clear).

Yeah but then again there are only around 200 copies out there and how many owners out of them would even have a working floppy reader in the first case. Not to mention many got DOA diskettes Laughing
