just got cable. Its supposed to be 10 to 15 meg connection.
first computer runs great. made a download at close to 2mb.
second computer in the next room, good connection, no drops, but I ran speed test
and the download was slower than the upload! did another speed test and got a bit better result, but something wrong still.

Im going to go to the other pc and run speed test and post that brb

OK im back, and this is complete bullshit!!!

both using wirless usb adapters this one is 20 ft or so closer to the router.
WHY! WHY!!!!!
my machine is brand new just plugged it in

ok update, i found a newer driver, re arranged the router, my pc, and used a diffrent usb port, and things are looking much better got 20M/b on same server.
Funny thing is a had a netgear adapter, and it just would not connect. And the router is netgear also. would "handshake" connect for a few seconds, then drop. after that it wouldnt even see the network untill i un, and re plugged. fought it 2 days, and gave up and bought a linksys. worked as advertised cept for the speed problem which seems to be getting sorted. brain is fried. Dont buy netgear wireless adapters, for real
