Because it's sexual and god forbid those righteous and in-no-way-self-aggrandizing Xtians should be reminded that this depraved, satanic activity even exists on this world.

I loved how even the newscasters were squeamish about even hearing the word and outright unable to say it. Very Happy

A 'vagina' is a part of the anatomy of a woman and is by itself not "sexual" unless put in such a context. Or is anatomy and biology-classes sexually themed in the U.S. as well? Talking about it in the context she is in, you'd have to be mentally like that crazy Pastor Phelps dude to draw such conclusions.

Land of the free at its best again. If I said 'vagina' on swedish television I wouldn't get a shrug. But I'm sure in Pakistan, Iraq, Palestine and the good old USA it's a big problem. :S

I didn't say it was rational, I just said why they are so uptight about it. Anyways, yeah. They warped sexuality into a taboo, that is now unmentionable in any context in so called "polite conversation" in some places. That's what you get if your world view sees sexuality as dirty, sinful, etc. They are unable to get past the "you put your pee-pee in there" part of the vagina and get offended by the mere mention of the words vagina, penis, orgasm, etc, thanks to their medieval thinking. Very Happy

Actually, You can say the swedish version of cunt/cock/fuck etc etc if You want in any Swedish media and the majority will just go "ok.".
It's like when Motley Crew was on the swedish news in the 80's and they went "can you say FUUUUUCK in swedish television" while making a funny face...and the female reporter just said "if you want to - yes." Smile
