I was in turkey over the weekend and we had 1KG of Köfte.
Selling Köfte per KG ftw! 
@interested turks: Ankara/Balgat, 32TL/KG (includes bread, ezme, jalapenos) And Ayran is sold liter-wise

Go to Hamamönü, you'll know Ankara Evleri I assume. Opposite to the hamam side, across the mosque. Small place, great live music (piano) and an excellent cook (he has a lot of international prizes). Cosy (if you go with your fiancee) and some of the best food (and dessert!!) you'll get in Ankara. Very small, but don't let that scare you.
