Deep Silver announces signing on as publisher for the Prison Break video game that ties in with the television series of the same name. Prison Break", developed by Zootfly, will be released by the games label Deep Silver for next gen consoles and PC.

The protagonist of the "Prison Break" game is Company agent Tom Paxton. He is sent to the Fox River State Penitentiary to find out why Michael Scofield (the hero of the TV series), a man without a previous criminal record, became a bank robber. The storyline runs parallel to the first season of "Prison Break": Paxton encounters several characters from the series and experiences key events from his own perspective.

The action adventure "Prison Break" has all the markings of the award-winning TV series: a compelling story, distinct characters, and fast-paced action. Using diverse climbing and stealth skills, the protagonist Paxton explores numerous locations of the series, all brought to life with great attention to detail.

Well, such a bad TV show can only be matched by an equally bad video game (or worse). Wink

Season 1 was great, but I doubt this will be.
They created another generic character, just like in the Lost video game. A character that has no personality and only depends on the others.

This one can go right to the garbage can...

Granted the Lost game sucked but I think it had potential and introducing another character is a) a whole lot easier and b) sometimes the only possible way when the TV show people don't allow you to use the characters from the show *shrug*

It's very possible to make a good game about Prison Break, escaping prison is always a good idea for movies and series, but I really doubt this game will be good at all.

Yeah, I know Prisoner of War, but it wasn't all that good, also it wasn't really a "prison break" game. Wink

Screens, looks different now, with the main character looking all "girlish" (The above image demonstrates this quite well against that other prisoner - Escape from the shower room sequence perhaps, haha.) I'd understand why he'd be anxious to get out of prison.

The QTE abuse, blocky animations, poor stealth sequencies and mediocre overall gfx/textures are almost enough to emit a final verdict on that.., at least for me Wink

I lowered my expectations of movie/tv licensed games years ago so meh *shrug*
and I pre ordered Heavy Rain (which is like Fahrenheit a QTE galore) although I normally hate QTEs.

I'd probably play this considering I loved the first season of the show, then it went downhill like a rock. But then again I like Lost and never played that piece of shit game that spawned from it.
