didnt expect anything, was pleasantly surprised. Its genuinly funny and very entertaining sadly, only season 1 and 2 were released on dvd (and its doubtful s3-5 will ever be released) so s3-5 are tv rips.
brilliant show that so many miss by being so old (1967)
secret agent conspiracy / social allegory
avoid the recent horrid remake
way after 2002, but neglected, steven moffat's (of sherlock) modern day take on Jekyll & Hyde in "Jekyll" was quite interesting
i really liked 'dead like me' (2003), comedy about a girl who dies and becomes a grim reaper
before simon pegg and nick frost did shaun of the dead and exploded, they did a comedy series, spaced (1999)
Total Recall 2070 (1999)
once you get past the cheap sets and budget-limited stories, it's essentially blade runner the tv series
i don't think we've had cyberpunk tv after this

It's also a truly outstanding show, really powerful message and excellent delivery wrapped inside the blackest humour --- and I was gutted beyond all reason when it was cancelled, not to mention the TV movie was dire and really ruined the show IMO.
Oh and it gets better than the first episode... much MUCH better.
Became one of my favorite shows because you never ever know who's the killer, and the actors do a terrific job.

I don't even remember the movie. But the show was really good.
Another vote for Dead Like Me. That show just had a certain charm to it that nothing has been able to replicate since. A unique idea with wonderful execution, a cast that clicked flawlessly, and some real thought provoking stuff regarding our mortality and the meaning of life in more or less every episode. Check it out if you haven't!

Thanks for this suggestion i really enjoyed the first episode, nice to know it's gonna get even better. Usually the main actors doesnt "click" for me in the first episode of a show, but they really did here.

IMO the rest of the series are even better since they don't rely on the, er, torture porn bit that this one had but instead on the chemistry between the characters along with some (dare I say it) realistic profiling in order to catch the criminals.
