Hi guys and gals. I have my great 4yo samsung 226bw. "22 inch tn panel"
It was top 22" when I got it. Despite all the lottery I got "C-cmo" panel which is worse than samsung panel but better than "A" panel so its allright.



The thing that bugs me the most is backlight bleeding. During dark scenes I can notice quite big light bleeding in up, down etc. Standard stuff. Is there a way to fix it? I have been opening it couple of times for detailed cleaning etc so If it requies opening it, I should be allright with it.

You can adjust the brightness, but that will effect the rest of the screen as well.
The best you can do is play around with the brightness contrast and colour settings to find the best solution.

If i was you though i would just look at buying a better monitor.

Buying new screen is out of the question for now. I always buy top hardware or at least I try to.

And I don't have the money to get a very good screen right now.

Actually... ive upped the brightness and it helped a little bit. I just defaulted all screen settings. it is now 100brightness and 75contrast. I was using 50brightness and maybe lamps were not all at the same level and its easier for them to do 100?

Anyway. it still sucks. I will just try not to look at it as I did for some time now,
