I have last revision of 120gb elite with jasper and even without heat pipes. Last version before slim (pure and lego batman bundle).
I have it for almost two years and its working very good. I clean it everytime I flash but it doesn't gather almost any dust at all. It's parameters havent changed at all from the day I bough it.
There are 2 fans bundled together it that weird pack and this god damn shit makes very grizzy noise. It was always like that and I think every 360 sounds like this but I was just wondering how Your 360's sound? Maybe mine is anomaly?
And heat. Its warm on the bottom side(mine is standing vertically so i am touching the left side) and much warmer(but not close to hot) air from the back, like 10 minutes after I turn it on.
btw. I remember my first time I was flashing this thing and saw that there is nothing inside:lol: bold god damn circuit board and radiator +two fans looks like it was redesigned million times to its current way better than released state.
how much does it vibrate? it doesnt vibrate at all horizontally and only a little when its vertically and disc is spinning. Once I've said "fuck you" to those 6 screws and screwed them very light and it was shaking like a fine booty
Overall. How reliable are elites jasper? I am asking to this becouse I like to come back to my games after YEARS. You know- dust it off and run The Darkness after 10 years
I am bored.

Mine is the first they ever released. An Arcade version cause they didnt have anymore of the ones with harddrive etc. I bought all that as extras at the same purchase Still works fine. Although that is after 2 RROD's repaired under warranty

You shouldn't keep it vertically. The part with the plastic grill is where the consoles sucks the cool air, and blows the hot air out the back. So keeping it vertical disturbs - more or less - the air flow for the cooling system.
And yes, the back fans on my Jasper are noisy too. Well not that noisy, but I've been playin KoA all week and the console makes more sound that that fucking game.
Those fans can be 10x more louder, if you turn them all the way up in FSD it sounds like a vacuumcleaner.
P.S. Damn you for the first line in your post. You had to spoil the fun! >,<
I have a Falcon without internal HDD ( now with RGH I use external ) , keeping it horizontally very near to the floor. During the winter I can barely feel the heat even after 5h of gaming , during summer it's a bit warmer but nothing serious..that was before I did RGH.
After I did RGH I can finally see my temps in FSD and they worried me a bit , easpecially RAM temps ~78C while gaming ~ 75C idle..guy which RGHed my console said that's normal cause chip is designed to stand 110C and that I can put my fan on auto. After a while I listened to NFOAC and set my fan to 65% , it's a bit loud but nothing serious and it doesn't bother me.
Temps are now:
MB: ~25C
RAM: ~50
GPU: ~50
CPU: ~ 45
after 5h of gaming , in idle they are a bit lower...we'll see when summer comes..for now Im satisfied.
