I could not believe what I was seeing today as Florian Merz had spotted what looked to be an updated It Came From The Desert by Cinemaware, for the Sega Megadrive/Genesis. At first I thought it was a joke, was this real? Was this some sort of trick by Cinemaware? But no it's real! Cinemaware spoke to me and confirmed the unreleased 1990 version will be released for the Holiday 2014 season as a limited edition version.

Wow I played the original on Amiga I think it was lol.

I would have thought Cinemaware died a long time ago but apparently not.

Originally founded in 1985, Cinemaware became a dominant force in interactive entertainment across multiple platforms of computers, consoles and mobile devices, with its titles rooted in classic movie genres and renowned for their Hollywood-caliber production values, immersive storytelling and innovative gameplay. The company rocketed to the top of the gaming world with its inaugural 1986 release, Defender of the Crown®, which was followed up by several other dazzling titles including S.D.I.™, The King of Chicago™, Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon™, Rocket Ranger™, The Three Stooges®, Lords of the Rising Sun™, It Came From the Desert™, Wings™ and the TV Sports™ series of sports titles. At a later stage, the company released a major console project in the form of Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown® and several GameBoy Advance ports. Cinemaware titles still reside among numerous “Best Games of All Time” lists, having collectively sold millions of units across multiple platforms and are considered some of the best and most innovative games ever created.

But this is not the same game released right as it says an unreleased 'action' game.

Doesnt mention specifically which formats the game will be on but I assume they will update it lol.
