For example: A.Very.Harold.And.Kumar.Christmas.2011.3D.Bluray.DTS.HD-MA5.1-The3DTeam.iso

Doesnt work with PowerDVD11 (mounted the iso with daemon tools), is there something else?

MPC didn't support 3D last time I checked, has this changed?

I use PowerDVD 11 for 3D myself, so can't really suggest anything else. Well, ArcSoft's TotalMedia Theatre is something else I tried, but didn't really like it. I suppose you could try that.

3D Blurays do have both 2D and 3D on them. Most likely, MPC still has no support for 3D, so it just plays 2D by default. At least that is how it worked before.

If that is the case, you need to check out alternative bluray players if PowerDVD doesn't work for some reason. I suggested one, you should be able to google some more. Although if it's a proper bluray, PowerDVD should be able to play it just fine. I didn't have any issues with playing mounted discs on it so far. So perhaps there is some other issue as well?

I'm using TMT 5 and it's on the very top. If you don't have that tool bar open, look right under the X button to close the program you'll see an arrow pointing to the left, click that and it should open a tool bar for audio and the likes. 3D is an option there and has a drop down menu where you can dingle with 3D options

http://www.arcsoft.com/topics/media-player/how-to-play-3d.html

It looks to be as simple as that, I don't watch 3d stuff so I can't offer further assistance.

You have a 3D monitor or something right?

i've got a 3D TV. Seems like i can change the 3D settings as long as i havent started the movie, though it doesnt seem to matter what i select there, it still plays the movie in 2D mode. I have to say i really dislike the interface in this player. Whatever, i'll wait for a .mkv instead, those always work.

3D is no problem.. i can play games in 3D, watch 3D movies.. this is the first time i've tried a mounted 3D bluray image..

I dont have bluray burner so i cant burn it, i doubt it would make a difference compared to mounting it anyways.

What about the DVD menu (the one you get when you play the disc)? It usually lets you choose 2D or 3D playback there. If it's set to 2D, you might not have the player's 3D options available.

wonder if the mounting blu-rays with a virtual drive is messing it up?

Should work fine if the image is itself is fine. Watched quite a few of blurays by mounting them, didn't have any issues so far.

Would it be possible it was just the release you got that was fucked up? Try another release?
