As the title states, dont expect /10 ratings here, any movie of any kind from the 80s, be it for kids , popular , foreign, post it here with the imdb link and a few lines explaining what its about and why its worth watching Smile

Also note if there are HDTV/bluray rips of it on the net.

Scarface (1983)

This one doesn´t need presentation Wink

Quote:

When Fidel Castro opens the harbor at Mariel, Cuba, he sends 125,000 Cuban refugees to reunite with their relatives in the United States. Among all the refugees, there is one who wants it all, his name is Tony Montana. Tony and his friend Manny when they arrive in the United States and start in small time jobs, soon they are hired by Omar Suarez to pay money to a group of Colombians. When the deal goes wrong, Tony and Manny leave with the money and succeed in their job. Soon Tony meets with drug kingpin Frank Lopez and falls for his boss's girl Elvira. Pretty soon Tony will know that those who want it all, do not last forever and that is the price of power. The world will know Montana by one name....SCARFACE.

I think the best version around is Scarface.1983.720p.HDTV.x264.DTS-DON

Predator (1987)

I loved this movie at the time! Nice special effects even today.

Quote:

Dutch and his group of commandos are hired by the CIA to rescue downed airmen from guerillas in a Central American jungle. The mission goes well but as they return they find that something is hunting them. Nearly invisible, it blends in with the forest, taking trophies from the bodies of it's victims as it goes along. Occasionally seeing through it's eyes, the audience sees it is an intelligent alien hunter, hunting them for sport, killing them off one at a time.

Withnail & I (1987)

This is a great comedy, in the british way Wink

Quote:

London 1969 - two 'resting' (unemployed and unemployable) actors, Withnail and Marwood, fed up with damp, cold, piles of washing-up, mad drug dealers and psychotic Irishmen, decide to leave their squalid Camden flat for an idyllic holiday in the countryside, courtesy of Withnail's uncle Monty's country cottage. But when they get there, it rains non-stop, there's no food, and their basic survival skills turn out to be somewhat limited. Matters are not helped by the arrival of Uncle Monty, who shows an uncomfortably keen interest in Marwood...

Along with Predator, ALL Arnie movies from the 80's (especially Total Recall and Commando still kick ass better than any modern action movie).

And some of my favorites that first came to mind (and haven't been mentioned yet):

Aliens
Escape from New York
Big Trouble in Little China Very Happy
Back to the Future trilogy
Die Hard

The Gate (1987)

IMDB

Nice creepy movie about little demons. Way better than most of the present horror/demon movies. FX were good for 1987.
No Bluray or HD in sight.
Remake is already in work. Design will be made by H.R Giger who designed the original alien creature.
