Quote:
I was just about to finish for the day with so much writing already done, when an eye opening picture appeared in our Dungeon Crawlers Facebook group. That picture showed the words ' Eye of the Beholder 4 ', and according to the site where it came from. Eye of the Beholder 4 is the next episode of the classic masterpiece series by a fan based developer, taking place 100 years after the Assault of the Myth Drannor and 300 years after the death of Xanathar the great beholder! -

But then there's this..

Quote:
there is a big concern over this Eye of the Beholder 4 sequel and it was also brought up in our very own Facebook group by Stig, and that was this; " Unless the people making this have secured the legal rights to use the Forgotten Realms setting, this project will be very very short lived "

Release Date : TBA
Systems : PC

I would be interested if it was a modern approach like Legend of Grimrock. But not with those retro graphics.

+1. Something akin to the new M&M or LoG would be great.

A new M&M would be fantastic, but I hate those checker board movements. Bring back free displacement Evil or Very Mad

What I see on the screenshot is a picture composed of the actual EoB graphic elements, undoubtedly "borrowed" from the actual game. It does not say anything about the actual quality of this new game, and judging from the fact that the author is unable to produce his own graphics, I would wager it's yet another attempt to cheaply milk people's fond memories.

This project started around a decade to go with barely anything to show for it, I wouldn't hold your breath.
