So, after the new RAM install, I'm experiencing crashes in BF3, but it's related to the graphics cards/DirectX?

Here's the error:

The game also crashed twice with "unexpectedly crashed/closed" or whatever it said. Happens after like 10 minutes of play, once even in the squad selection screen, just after I started the game.

I got this when using the latest Beta drivers, so I ran Driver Sweeper a few times, restarted the PC and ran it again in Safe Mode, rebooted and installed the latest official drivers - same fucking deal.

So what gives?

For anyone who don't know my specs:
2x GTX 460 1GB SLI
i5 750 @ 4Ghz
8Gb Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz RAM

Hint - When you install something new and shit starts crashing it's probably the new part.

True, but I think I've found the problem - the timings weren't changed when I replaced the RAM, so they were still at the old setting - 8-8-8-24, while the new ones run at 9-9-9-24 - just played an entire match on a 64-player server in BF3, and no problems. And I also reseated the RAM.

For future reference, driver crashes indicate one of two things:
- You changed your driver
- Your RAM is fucked or misconfigured

Since it's not #1, it's #2 Razz
When it's #1, a rollback is usually enough; usually it also means that something as dumb as playing a flash video or even opening some accelerated application causes it.

A driver-related BSOD is rarely the driver; only obscure, dodgy drivers will cause a BSOD (i.e. 7 year old drivers for some uncommon hardware like a SCSI controller). Almost always caused by faulty RAM.
