definately skyrim. i enjoyed deus ex and witcher 2, but they were more action games than anything else. skyrim gave me scope, atmosphere and freedom, so i proclaim it to be my RPG O DA YEER!!
didnt play the bottom 2 though

Well, that was unexpected
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Skyrim for overall GOTY, DX3 for the RPG award.

For me, nothing came close to the brilliance of Deus Ex. It puts Skyrim and TW2 to shame in terms of story, atmosphere and soundtrack.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Neither game has a brilliant story, but their sound and atmosphere are excellent.
It's just that, IMO, Deus Ex is more of an RPG when considering your actions and their consequences on the characters and the world towards you.
In that regard Skyrim can't really compete.

garus wrote: | What consequences did you see in Deus Ex? It all came down to pushing the button you liked.. | Ehrm... crooked cop mission, police station guy dialog, first mission at sarif industries and those were just on the beta.
Not huge consequences, but it's telling that some of those eclipse by far the outcome of completing skyrim's MQ(some new guard dialogue, weeeeee).

garus wrote: | Ah, in mission choices. Ok. Forgot about them. | Well, yeah.
I mentioned "characters and the world" but the world part really doesn't happen... I think.
Apart from the ending and some of the newspaper headlines that may slightly vary according to your actions.
And the DLC actually added a bit to the characters reactions throughout that mission.

My vote went to Skyrim. I really loved TW2 and DXHR as well but the mind-boggling freedom (+replayability) and astonishing amount of quality contents that Skyrim provides were enough to make it an easy decision
