I was in best-buy buying batteries for goot's mom's vibe yesterday and I walked thru the games isle. I saw a Doom 3 box and just about messed my drawers. It was just a damn empty preorder box. I have never seen those before. What a waste of shelf space.

Precious! Saw those same boxes at EB much like I saw empty HL2 boxes skirting my taste buds. Just pre-hype shiet. Sorta a new marketting tactic.

Not gay.... ghey
I know that shelf space in retail stores is Uber expensive. Just goes to show that there is so few games put out lately that they apparently have room for empty boxes on the shelves. I guess with Sims2 an empty box and the actuall game are pretty much the same thing.

Just another reason to hate Best Buy. That debacle with UT2004 was the final nail in the coffin as far as I'm concerned...I would have bought a copy of BF:V that was right next to the empty rack for UT2004 if I wasn't so pissed that a corporation like Best Buy could drop the ball as big time as they did. If their employees weren't so damned funny, I wouldn't go near the place. As it is, I've never met a bunch of people so willing to trash on their employer, while in the uniform and the store and everything.
And please. Do you really think BEST BUY would know that a blockbuster game was out before you did? And actually have enough copies on hand?

I pre-ordered it from them... I like BestBuy a lot better than futureshop near here, though ive bent futureshop over plenty of times for my own gain, best buy has had the best quality of product and they never hastle me when i return stuff, which isnt often.
