Well after the fraud crap on my computer, i totally wiped me hdd and installed windows again.
I installed thunderbird as i do to download my emails, set it up i think correctly and went to get mail.
It's downloading old emails from 2010 wtf no new ones even though i log into my isp site and can read my latest emails from there.
Any ideas how to fix this please?
And i'm using windows 7 ultimate build 7000 which isn't genuine, is there an easy way to get windows genuine without buying it ?

Thanks Smile

pop3 or imap?

With pop3 you have to check "delete messages after download" else they will just keep coming. IMAP is the real deal if you want to stash away your messages for all iternity and read'em from all sorts of different places.

Thunderbird -> Tools -> Accounts; Pick an account and select "Server settings" then uncheck "leave messages on server". This only works for POP3. For IMAP you have to delete them yourself.
