Probably a dim question for a first post but here goes ...
I have a series of tv rips which I want to burn to DVD. I have managed this successfully on a number of occassions with a different series getting 6 x 45 minute episodes comfortably on a 4.7gb DVD.
With the latest series (slightly longer episodes) the avi files are about the same size but when converted to dvd with avi2dvd the video file size ends up huge (2gb+ rather than c800mb I was getting before) meaning I am lucky if I can fit 2 onto one disk.
I am guessing that there is a compression problem but I am fairly new to this so am not that 'up' on the tech solutions. Is there/would anyone give me a fairly easy fix for this please (note: we are talking the big print version with the lift-up flaps )
In Cucusoft AVI to VCD DVD there is just a front screen allwoing you to open the avi, specify output file, select pal/ntsc and confirm aspect ratio.
Any heads up on a better/more 'featured' conversion package ... i'm not that technically competent so I'm looking for something fairly automatic (with big friendly buttons )
TMPGEnc is a good choice for avi to mpeg2 conversion allthough CCE is the best i would not recomend to you *user freindly = 0*. so get yourself a copy of TMPGEnc and visit afterdawn.com and/or doom9.org for guides to help you encode. hope that helps
