Hi, I was until recently thrilled about the thought of buying a DS though I came to realise that PSP has alot! more options and specs... Now here is my main question:
What media files does the PSP support???

PSP doesn't read MiniDVDs but UMD, they are not same.
About the .avi files you need to re-encode them with a software into MPEG4 and put them in a dedicated folder in the Memo Stick with a specific file name.
A friend of mine has been able to watch anime like Full Metal Alchemist with is PSP. But he hasen't been able to watch movies since the 512Mo stick can't get a full divx film.
I only have the 32Mo stick for game save so i can't give ya more infos, sorry. If i could have a 512Mo i should have tried plenty of things ^^

Quote: | Dec 9th: Various things, we were offered PSP today but price was £275, so we will wait (the RRP is only about £90!). Ridge Racer for the DS is in stock, the USA version. Other updates soon. |
Thats what the GBAX site said ^^^

If its £90 in Uk ,i 'll eat my hat - there is no way its going to be cheaper than the DS.
It'll be £149 min on its own or £179 value pack or £199 value pack+game
watch this space.

Well when sony heard the news about the DS prices then Sony reacted and made the standard model cheaper... So it's pretty realistic to see it to 90 pounds...
