i would categorize sum41 as teen-punk, so similar music would be anything from:
-New Found Glory
-Mest
-Switchfoot
-The Ataris
-Unwritten Law
-Yellowcard
-Zebrahead Very Happy

/strange i can't see any similarities between sum41 and TSOOL, razor Confused would you mind explaining that to me? Smile

Hehe Sum41 is Teen-Punk, indeed Smile

Martinius, you should give some of these bands a try, but some of them sounds more grownup as Sum41..: The Slicks, The Uneployed, Simple Plan(Its more Pop-Teen-Punk then Sum41 Wink ), Sommerset and Strung Out

best regards..

GREEN DAY = a living legend; the gods of punk rock; masters of their metier

How about Closet Monster? http://www.closetmonster.com

They don't exactly sound like Sum41 (CM describe themselves as political pop-punk) ... but they're from the same shitty Ontario town (Ajax)!!!

While you're at it, there are some other good Underground Operations bands that are pretty cool... Hostage Life, Protest the Hero, Bombs Over Providence
http://www.undergroundoperations.com

There are some mp3s there to download if you're interested

hell no...punk is: crass, discharge, anti cimex, amebix, extreme noise terror, avskum, doom, mob47, disarm, bombraid, poison idea, inferno, ratos de parao, terveet kedät, ka@os, infest, drop dead, crossed out, lärm, bgk, raw power, impact, assück, abuso sonoro, gism, jerrys kids, nausea, the crow, s.o.b, bastard, warsore, void, gauze, negazione, fleas and lice, mushroom attack and so on Razz

lol j/k, toeffy is right.

green day is poppunk/mainstream punk, used to be considered good by punx when they were kind of a houseband at gilmans in berkeley, CA, ages ago.

sex pistols, rancid is mainstream punk (but yet punk), especially ramones is cool. hey hoes let goes! Very Happy

my list above is diy-punkrockanarchogrindhardcore in your face. Wink
