Actually, this is a much better outcome for HBO than staying with Zaslav who obviously diluted the brand with horse manure "content". There is a reason why Apple is now seen as the new HBO from creators. Zaslav did a lot of damage, and I think Netflix can revert a lot of it back.

Unless the ensuing producer battle layoffs results in netflix approach coming out on top. No brave ideas, invest in first/last ep only, stretch for longer seasons with no substance. Some say that Warner has a stronger producer base, that netflix could benefit from. But Netflix upper management will fight for their spots and get rid of the new competition most certainly, and they aint the most visionary folk.
