Late 90s, just images and text. You had limited turns per day after that you had to go to the Inn and rest. There was gear but I Don't remember an inventory other then one in text. The game work in a way like options like: go to the woods, help the poor man (with could give you gifts or bee a trap) go in to town, talk to girl. You could also climb a mountain but for this rope was needed. Also cookies could grant you extra turns for the day.

There was also a sequel in the works that were available to paying members.

They also had a trade system there you could post on a forum and then the deal was made you got an ingame mail.

Anything with silver in front of it was awesome and expensive on the forum. I remember I found a silver short sword.

Sounds a LOT like L.O.R.D. (legend of the red dragon) but it was a BBS game.

We just need a play board everyone can join, along with teamspeak, a great GM and the original editions of Traveller.

Legend of the Green Dragon was a web based remake.

I did play lotgd around the same time. The games are similar but this one had images.

So then you walked out of town by pressing text, you could fight a rat or find a por man by a tree. You could chose to help or leave the man but helping him could be a trap and a monster could attack you.

Kinda looks a lot like it but all was just new first person images you could not move around in a 3D world like that. You could just go deeper into the forest.

And in there you could find a mountain to climb but to do that you needed a rope. And up there new monster were to be found like griffin's . And I believe thees griffin's offered you an alternative to fighting, they asked you a question and if you got it right they would not fight you.
