Myst V has finally been announced. The last game was a killer. That's for sure. It's absolutely my point and click favorite. I've played the series since the start.

Quote:
Cyan Worlds and Ubisoft are proud to announce the next chapter of the Myst saga: Myst V: End of Ages, which will be the culmination of all of the previous storylines. Due to the tremendous loyalty and spirit of the Myst community, and our appreciation for your involvement through the years of development of the Myst series, we are making this announcement to you first, before the official Press Release. Myst V: End of Ages will be a new pinnacle, continuing the beauty, drama, creativity and challenge which have been the hallmarks of all Myst titles. We look forward to sharing this new journey with you in Fall of 2005. And be sure to check back here for upcoming announcements and information about Myst V: End of Ages.

Looking forward to this one fore sure. Still playing Myst IV - Revelation here and there, and I really like it. The opening scene in the game where you take a ride with Yeesha is really amazing. Cant wait for games to look like that all the time.

edit.

btw. Assuming that Real Myst 3D looks as good as if not better then the original one did 10 years ago, but in full 3d. Is it safe to say that in 10 years the games will look as good as that opening scene in Revelation does? Maybe even with 'pre-recorded' 3D characters? I dont see how could you make that efficient at this point, but who knows.
