I am looking to upgrade to a new video card from an EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB and am looking at the EVGA Geforce 560 line but am not sure which is the best bang for my buck. The choices are the EVGA Geforce 560 2048MB Part #02G-P3-1469-KR (or 1024MB Part #01G-P3-1460-KR if the ram does not make that big of a difference) or the EVGA Geforce 560 TI 1024MB Part #01G-P3-1563-AR. The the EVGA Geforce 560 2048MB and EVGA Geforce 560 TI 1024MB are $230 each and the EVGA Geforce 560 1024MB is $175.
here's my opinion: you will only really profit from 2048mb Vram while running really high resolutions (2560X1600 or something) and at those resolutions the card doesn't really have the horesepower to run modern stuff with all bells and whistles on, so I don't see the point. At lower resolutions like 1080p 1024 mb Vram is fine too, so i'd go for the 560 ti.
