Quote:
Dynasty Warriors 8 is a historical tactical action game that follows the stories of the kingdoms of Wei, Wu, Shu and Jin through the actions of historical military and political figures of the time as they fight to gain control over the Three Kingdoms of China.

The game features more than 40 completely new stages: verdant plains, desolate wastelands, sharp ravines, huge castles, and other breath-taking sites, giving stronger emphasis in the stage of these epic battles and inspired by ancient landscapes.

The Complete Edition includes all of the content from both Dynasty Warriors 8 and Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends, thus giving new fans the opportunity to play through both titles.

Dynasty Warriors 8 XL Complete Edition is coming to the PC this May. The game will be released via Valve’s distribution service, Steam.

I prefer the romance of the three kingdoms over Dynasty, but it is still a nice game to play with my friends. Although playing it alone gets boring really fast.

OH YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAH! This series is so stupidly fun... I love it. I did however like Warriors Orochi more than any other in the series. It was my most played game on my older, right before I changed it in 2008.

I was a fan until I played Sengoku Basara 2, then I hated it. The previous ports were terrible, if this is on a more acceptable level, I'll try it.

Those have to be the lowest system requirements I've seen so far for a new release, I remember the old games were for PS2 or XBox original but these should be for the 360/PS3 but maybe the requirements match since those are also quite old by now.
(I guess environmental detail will be fairly low and generic AI soldiers will be sprites or something at a distance with the main detail being on the various hero characters.)

EDIT: Wonder if it'll have any available options at all, hopefully it won't be locked to ~720P resolution.

This looks exceedingly similar to DW 2, 3 and 4 that I enjoyed back in the day. Have to hand it to Koei though, they certainly seem to deliver what their fans want, and all the while seemingly without the ambition to reel in all kinds of gamers and please everyone.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

The game is apparently a port from the PS3 version (Not the PS4, which has different/better lighting and some other details.) and it might be locked to 720P but I couldn't find a definitive answer for that.

Well Capcom is doing OK even if they're not always interested in PC versions of their games (I believe Dragons Dogma is one of them.), Namco Bandai are improving (At least from Dark Souls to Dark Souls 2) and Koei (These guys.) still seems to have a bit to learn, then again if it's the developers or publishers I don't really know - bigger budget and more time always helps I suppose but that's not always how it goes.
(Along with several other studios, Square is doing OK in the actual games when it comes to PC - actual gameplay can be improved however - but marketing seems to be a issue there since they had expected sales in the 5+ millions for some of their franchise reboots.)

So, they've chosen to port from PS3 which is way more difficult than porting from PS4? I really can't understand this kind of decision. They may have a contract/agreement that forbids them to port from PS4?

Not sure if my mx420 can run this Razz

It really should run on a P4 and mx420 gpu if you just judge it by the graphics.

So, this is ported from the PS3 version?

I think that terrible Iron Man game from a few years ago was based on the PS2 rather than the 360 version.

A step up I would say Laughing

Got around 60fps here though.

Maybe it is the SLI on your system misbehaving? I did run the whole benchmark and the FPS stayed around 60.

FX 8120 and 670 here.
