yes yes, I know I also just got a boat. But FFS, you only live once and iv never had an ATV before Very Happy And yes, I live in the woods -.-

Got it at 20k NOK, and thats amazing for a ATV with 75hk! Its only 200kg.

Taking it really easy (Never even driven at ATV before, but always wanted one)... whenever I change gear it tries to throw me off. It can be road legal, but I dont want to use this beast in traffic. Only tried it on small private roads so only used 3 gears so far. The guy who sold it to me said it can do about 160kmh. Thats just insane. If I dont post here anynore you know why Sad

Looks like awesome fun! I would have nowhere to use one though, unless I got one that was road legal and traveled somewhere, I guess.

thanks man, tbh a 250cc would have been fine. And I almost got one at 5K NOK, but it got sold just before I called him. And I was a little bitter that I didnt get it, because at that price id buy ut unseen. Sad

And after that iv only seen really overpriced japanese brands like Honda and kawasaki ATVs. Even 110cc ones going at around 20k NOK -.-

Then I found this, he tried to sell it for 35K this winter. But now he really needed the money. Apparantly he tries to become a rally driver and was kinda broke lol. Dont even wanna know what these goes for new. Its a 2006 mod, not bad at all imo Smile I just have to remember to use racing oil and lubricate the chain.

Its such a rush... because its so light you will beat pretty much any normal car in a dragrace Very Happy
The guy who sold it to me said he could learn me weelie and so on... but only when im comfortable with it. Kinda afraid of landing on my back with that thing over me Very Happy . At least iv learned the basics with using your body weight to do corners properly

Just now im really happy I dont live in a city Very Happy

I live rent free, my car is registred on my grandmother so iv got very cheap insuranse, my phone bills are pretty much non existant because its got no monthly fee and if im under 120min a month its free

But iv always been good at saving money. I come from a cheap ass family. But iv finally realized that life is NOW! So why not spend money now and have some fun? Might not be fun with an ATV when im 30-40... and most people just keep saving and saving and never using their money. I was like that until I was 21-22.... and whats the fucking point? At least when you dont have any big ambisions Very Happy


Btw frant, 20k for an ATV is not expensive Wink

Anyways, ontopic - atleast you didn't buy a cheap chinese ATV that have flooded the market the past few years. They are cheap for a reason! I've been riding ATVs, snowmobiles and motocrosses since I could walk (true story, my first bike was a Yamaha PW50, I could barely ride a bicycle when I first got it Laughing), and I just gotta say that riding out in the wild is just extremely fun. Just don't go destroying the nice nature, just use some good old common sense Wink

It's about priorities I guess.. and some good work ethic Razz I have a full time job, but I work from home when I have time after work or on weekends. I don't drink, don't smoke, never go out to clubs/pubs. I don't have any kids and I have a GF who shares that view Razz Also, we live together, split the rent and electrical bill etc, and the cost of groceries. So I spend my money on things that are fun Smile

When my S14 is tuned and ready Very Happy You could probably even win, putting down 450+ whp in an S14 is no joke, car broke traction easily at just 350 whp..

Aye, being a dyno queen and putting the power down are two different things. Thats why I usually set a fairly mid-level goal on my cars and stick with that, as to put anymore power down would require a shitload of suspension work. I could go big turbo and make 400WHP, but thats fairly worthless on a FWD car.

I've always been good at saving money and I come from a cheap ass family! Same here, that's a good combination. Always money left at the end of the month and can't be really bothered to think of something to spend it on. Well it also means never having financial stress.

But no way I'm getting a weird 4x4. Boat... maybe. New Macbook... definitely! Very Happy

Considering tax in most states is 6-8% it's really not a huge issue. Or just order online from an out of state company and pay no tax. Or just buy in a tax free state.

I love it Very Happy Was able to try it out more properly at a safe place. But I dont feel safe enough to try to reach the top speed.

The guy who sold it said its one of the big brands, and probably is, strange iv never heard of the brand before.
