In a nutshell he's saying that for the couple of hours he has been playing he has only seen a single location, the combat seems to be really boring and the emphasis lies on lame combat.
Basically a cheap downloadable hack & slash.

Isometric and tactical team based combat or fuck off!! Leave the lameness to Dragon Age 2 - why make budget lameness, not enough happens when you press the button!!!
There are two kinds of people I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.
Along with the co-op Neverwinter (basically same retarded gameplay you've seen in Daggerdale trailers), Atari seems to be on a path to destroy the D&D license. Wizards of the Coast should take it from them (as they did with SSI when their titles were hurting the license).

The last stuff SSI did was in 1994 when they were bought. TSR did not take their license away from them.
It was Dreamforge and Lion entertainment that did most of the development after that.
Generally I like hack n' slash games anyway so i'll at least try this. The last D&D button masher I played was Demonstone and it didn't turn out half bad..
also the dragon looked good at least
It would be great to see a return of the turn based gold box style titles. Even if they were to re-release the originals on budget with updated higher res graphics, artwork, interface etc. I agree the Dungeons and Dragons license is wasted by making the game like this.
There must be a massive market out there crying out for a decent Dungeons and Dragons turn based game.
Why turn based? I would love a D&D themed game like Gothic for example, as that's my favourite type of RPGs. A lot of things could be done with D&D. This one isn't very promising, but I'll try it. Demonstone was quite decent to be honest, it was very similar to the LotR games, it wasn't anything special or memorable (though the fact that you play with Drizzt is memorable ), but it wasn't a bad game either, it was just fine. Still I would probably kill for a game like Gothic set in the Forgotten Realms universe (it's pretty much the same thing as the D&D brand right?). I'm not that familiar with the universe as I want to be, but I used to be kinda' addicted to Icewind Dale when I was 10 or somewhere near that age and I love the universe, but I don't have the patience anymore to play Baldur's Gate or even Icewind Dale I think. Maybe it's because I never was really attached to the party based type of RPGs.

Well I thought the most memorable and enjoyable D&D games I have played in the past had all been turn based to some extent.. but no one seems to make those type of games anymore, let alone in a D&D setting. They all have to have real-time 3D graphic engines attached nowadays, which for me at least, is unnecessary.
Which is a pity as a turn based pen and paper game translates quite well into a turn based computer game.
No actually, I have not played Dark Alliance 1 or 2. Until #1 works on the PS2 emu, im out of luck.
After Wild ARMS Alter Code F, my two most desired PS2 games for PCSX2 are the DA series.. and Fallout. Both suffer the same half-video>crash issues As djaoni said, you'd probably be better off trying Dolphin instead; it'd be a damn sight faster than PCSX2.

What about Dragonshard?
Dragonshard? Isn't that a strategy-cum-RPG like the Kings Bounty/Might & Magic III+ series?
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
