Why would you get a new one now, when the new models are just like 3 months away? Either get the newest model then, or at least wait for the price drop on the old models.

Because I'm a pauper who spends 90% of the time broke as fuck... and Apple's prices rarely drop as quick as people expect them too? I can snag a 32GB iTouch 3rd Gen for around £100-130 off eBay. You know how much a 32GB brand new iTouch 4 is? Try £240+ That's just insane!

Gratz! my 2nd gen has a crack on top right corner and power button does not really work, have to press it against a table to get it to work..just imagine how hard is it for me to get into DFU mode to JB
maybe i should invest in 8gb 4th gen |

Id be really surprised if this didnt require a monthly subscription of sorts to play. Although Im not sure how that work on an iPhone game?

Well, it works for all sorts of apps where you subscribe to magazines nad newspapers. Why would it NOT work with a game? It's a simple in-app-purchase, nothing more.

It's out! Seems to be Canada only at the moment, but I don't think it will take long to arrive in America and Europe. Yes, it's a pay-monthly game (so count me out) but a TENTH of the cost of other MMOs - and an initial $6.99 client fee.

No probs mate, I'm pretty damned impressed with it too. The more games I discover, the more I'm convinced Apple may well end up conquering the handheld gaming market properly, for hardcore gamers as well as casuals. Games like Aralon, Infinity Blade and Real Racing 2 are some of the most gorgeous titles I've ever seen on a handheld.

Besides... couple weeks now and I'll have my new 'Pod. Given the price of the 4th Gen, I think I'll just stick to 3rd. 32GB 3rd Gen (3GS OpenGL ES2.0 hardware) for £130. That's not bad at all ^_^
