It's only a work in progress so far, i've still gotta add CSS stuff. But i'd still like your comments, opinions and suggestions, so check it out. Keep in mind that this is my FIRST EVER website, and i've only been studying HTML and CSS for 6 months in school, so i'm still a n00b...

Also the free dot.tk causes a pop-up, and no one wants that.

It is just a redirect service, you use your server but it gives you a nice short url like..
www.bob.tk (havent tested site, just a random name, dont blame me for content if you visit)

Nup, you can turn them off in the options without paying anything. The popup's are simply the "default" you dont have to have ANY add's.

Very, very simple, but I guess you will add some thing later.
BTW, try using XHTML compliant pages. HTML does not fit for modern webpages. Free webhotels all suck majorly. Because you live in sweden I can recommend you this one:
http://www.loopia.se. They can also fix you a proper url for ex with .com, .se, .net, .org etc extension.

Please stop telling people to use XHTML. XHTML is an XML media type and should be served as such (with for instance the application/xhtml+xml, or application/xml header). Because IE tries to download the first format and will show the second format as XML instead of XHTML, 70% of your visitors wont be able to visit your website unless you serve it using the text/html content type.
When you use the text/html content type, your not using XHTML, its handled as invalid HTML by the browser, wich enables features that shouldn't work in XHTML, like writable element.innerHTML and document.write in javascript.
Also, XHTML doesn't support incremental rendering, wich means your sites will render slower with the correct content type if your pages have a lot of content.
HTML 4.01 strict is the way to go, untill 100% of the browsers support XHTML . The only difference is that /> becomes > and that you can omit some tags (wich is actually quite cool and saves some extra bytes).
Also, noone is telling you to stop using CSS, because that is definately how the web should be, but XHTML is just one big failure right now. Also, WHATWG is working on HTML 5, wich WILL be backwards compatible. W3C is working on XHTML 2, wich wont be backwards compatible.

Yes, but I'm very strict when i code because I like following standards. I don't code big official sites, so I just put up a javascript warning for people who use Explorer and I don't care if the pages don't show well or at all in that browser. Internet explorer shouldn't be used at all. Proper browsers are for ex Netscape, Firefox, Mozilla suite, Safari etc.

There are a lot of good books about XHTML and CSS from John Wiley and McGraw Hill. I recommend you to try them out.

HTML 4.01 is also a standard, and offers a lot of things that XHTML does not offer. XHTML is only usefull when you use the extensible part, by for instance using MathML, inline RDF (wich is useless), or when used in XML. Opera still prefers HTML over XHTML (judging from their accept header), and the mozilla foundation still tells webdevelopers to use HTML 4.01 (link). 80% of the current XHTML pages are invalid (usually because of unencoded amperstands) and XHTML is slower (because of lack of incremental rendering).

Hmmm. It's in some strange language. Since the internet is the property of the USA, you need to write your website in english. Else, it will be confiscated and all your base are belong to us.

hah fuck that. it's coz the whiners and wanna be elite are using these stupid browsers that so many incompatibilities arise. and i can show you a lot of pages that are fucked up in either of those browsers. i hope dissing on ie6 stops being fashionable soon cause it makes you all look very stupid.
