find a program named FormatFactory its one of those that will guide you by the hand for ripping

or get yourself Avidemux 2.5.4 ,another fine program for BD ripping , just set it to Mpeg-4 AVC [ config set to average bitrate in GENERAL, set it to 2400 kbit/s ] Audio set to AC3 [config set to 192] then set your resolution in the VIDEO tab by clicking on Filters

after that just select the format to avi or MKV , press Save name the file [with basddkabsh.avi or jdakjdba.mkv at the end] and your done

the general RULE in AVC AC3 RIPPING to 720p DVD5 is : AVC 2400 kbit with AC3 192 gives you a 3,5gig to 4,2gig rip for a 2h long movie ,

don't go LOWER then 2400 or below 192, if you go lower movie will look like blurred blocky shit in 720p and audio will sound awful

if you want a fine looking 4h BD dvd5 then set it to 3600 and slip at dvd5

"AVC 2400 kbit" - hmm? We have what is called 2-pass encoding exactly for the purpose of spreading bitrate where needed as much as possible while targeting a certain file size. Smile

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Get HandBrake.
From the right, choose "High Profile". Drag-drop your video in the software. Go to the video tab, under "Quality" select "Target Size" and enter the size you want. Tick both "2-Pass Encoding" and "Turbo first Pass". You can change the audio codec if you want, but I suggest you don't. AAC is a much more efficient codec than DTS or AC3, so it will make a good audio file at small size. Click on "Start" and wait until encode is done.

why do you want to do whatever it is you think you are achieving? 3gb for 1080p is ridiculously undersized as it is...
