I've heard that these Unsigned games are working only from HDD.
Anyway, true or false, the new oddworld, which is an unsigned release, didn't work from my box, and since my device is not plugged to the computer in any way, I just can't run it. Crying or Very sad
Anyone else had these problems?

As you read in the other thread, the game will not run from my Xbox either, and I am running it from the HDD.

Retail games are ALLWAYS signed.

If a game is unsigned its either Beta or sometimes Review / Preview copys.

If you have a modchip it should run from the HDD or DVD drive though.

I have thegame on my hard disk (PC) havent tryed it yet though, but the signing will have no effect on if it works on HDD or DVD.

I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?Smile

yep either DVD or HD, they can be patched to retail XBE using the various xbe patcher tools about, normally that will cure it for older version chips 99.9% of the time, dunno about softmods but i do know new versions/hacks come out that cure various titles that have had problems booting on softmodded machines

If you're softmodded on a pre- 1.6 model, you may want to consider tsop flashing. It's usually just a matter of soldering a couple points on the mainboard (can be done with conductive ink), and flashing the bios. If you're softmodded, you're already halfway there and the tsop flash makes upgrading hdd easier and eliminates all the problems with softmodding. It is risky flashing the tsop, so make sure you get the bios you need and want (right size / features) and read the guides carefully. If you screw it up, you can recover with a modchip.
