E3 is a great time for surprises, and wouldn’t it be great if LucasArts finally revealed Battlefront 3? Now I’m not saying they will, but when you get an invitation to come see an “unannounced game in development,” you can’t help but be optimistic. So, being the curious lad that I am, asked whether or not this unannounced title would have lightsabers in it. The answer wasn’t confirmed, but it wasn’t denied either. There has been numerous posts about Battlefront 3 being in the works, then being canceled, so anything is possible.
LucasArts did confirm they were using the Unreal 3 engine for a couple of games; an aerial combat game being one of them. Maybe an X Wing vs Tie Fighter title is in the works? What do you guys think? How about a new Jedi Knight game?

Even if they will announce JK3, let's be honest. Does anyone here think it will be anywhere near as enjoyable as the the earlier ones? Does anyone here expects to have lightsaber combat with precise collision detection? Does anyone expect to have levels with enjoyable puzzles and platforming?
At best, we can expect to have a TFU clone with retarded combat, over the top retarded force powers, maybe some half-assed kinect compatibility that nobody asked for, and a story that completely goes against everything the series established.
I really hope they fired the monkeys upstairs and put some real sensible people in leading positions, but let's keep it real. They most likely didn't.

This. TFU kinda made me lose hope for the future of lightsaber games. It just did so many things wrong or just plain bad, and even with all that we'll still be getting a crappy port no doubt.

And I could see them doing a Battlefront 3 but I really don't think they'd do Jedi Knight 3. And even if they did, as others have said, no way it'd be anything like the old games.

True True. As muich as I want this game, after the Mass Effect and Dragon Age sequel disasters, I am afraid what Bioware would churn out if it indeed works on Kotor 3.
