Quote:
The Revolution plot and storyline. Homefront: The Revolution is set Philadelphia which has become a police state and a near future dystopia where catastrophic events have brought the USA to its knees and enabled North Korean forces to impose a brutal military occupation.

Homefront: The Revolution promises a living, breathing, open world responds to your actions". The game is in development at Crytek's Nottingham studio.

"The United States of America is occupied, but not defeated. Launch the second American Revolution from the birthplace of Liberty itself: Philadelphia. "

"Homefront: The Revolution stands out from the crowd by immersing players in a world where they'll feel emotionally compelled to fight for their freedom,” Crytek’s game director Hasit Zala said.

“We're very excited to work with Deep Silver and deliver an experience that underlines Crytek's commitment to quality whilst tapping into the huge potential we saw when we first acquired the Homefront IP."

Koch media CEO Klemens Kundratitz added: "Crytek has an outstanding track record of creating AAA action games. Homefront is a fascinating IP with huge global potential. With Crytek`s technical pedigree and Deep Silver´s publishing expertise we will take the IP to new heights."

Check out the first official screenshots and trailer of Homefront: The Revolution below. Homefront: The Revolution will be available in 2015 on PC, PlayStation4, and Xbox One.

Almost sounds like Freedom Fighters, with North Korea instead of Russia. ;p

Too bad it probably won't be anywhere near Freedom Fighters, and I so wish it would... :'(

Seriously, I don't see the huge comparision to Killzone, just because they both share similarities it's not like it's the same game.

Well it wasmt bad but it was multiplayer only with players up against AI enemies. The AI was pretty retarded at times. The game looks nice enough and I would be interested in picking it up for the campaign Smile

I'd rather play this and re-play HF1 than one Boring's Edge

Afraid I agree re: Mirrors Edge. I was a massive fan of the first, but the Beta completely put me off! The whole open world thing really didn't appeal to me in that environment.

As for this game - I'm disappointed that it's clearly so terrible. Ah well, never mind!

I keep reading some people are getting a lot out of this game but a patch will help the technical issues. Here is the Kotaku review.

http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2016/05/18/homefront-the-revolution-the-kotaku-review

My preorder shipped so Ill hopefully have a mini review of my own tomorrow and whether or not Ill be trading it in again Mirror's Edge Very Happy
