Skype always was pathetic, yet more and more switch to it because it's flashy

Some of you may have problems signing in to Skype and making calls. We're investigating and hope to have more details to share soon.

Skype, even on my mobile, always performs better than the regular cell network with less lag when I'm abroad. The calls are crystal clear and I've saved shitloads of money. Also the fact that it's a majpr component of many businesses internationally would suggest you are wrong. "Pathetic" is a word which at best used by someone with very little actual knowledge and experience of using Skype in the last few years. It was nothing special in the early days but today it's on a par with all my existing telecom services, fixed landline and mobile. As for "flashy," I have no clue wtf you mean. What is flashy about it?

Same here.

Fantastic product, and runs great for me. My whole business uses it, and I have about 7 development teams in Hungary that I talk with on a daily basis at work.

Crashing for me, but it's working now.

This is not such a big deal though, because it's obvious something is wrong. But two days ago I'm waiting for this guy to come online for the whole day, and at about 10pm he sends me an SMS asking why I'm not online, yet I was.

I couldn't see him, he couldn't see me, yet everything else worked fine -> restarted skype -> problem gone. Piece of shit.

they've already said it's not them. Anything that's going wrong with servers now it's getting pointed at them, and believe me, if they were attacking someone they're going to be the first ones to say it.
