I've followed every step in the .nfo file but I can't get it to work anyway. When I run "hlsinstall.exe" I get the .gcf file and a folder named User in the "Steamapps" folder. But the User folder is just full with other folders, no files. No .exe on the desktop either.
What is the problem, why isn't it working properly?
I think that's indeed tour problem....I tried installing it aswell, just to check it out, but since I'm out of HDD space, I don't have HL² installed. After I installed the addon, no shortcut appeared on my desktop either.
Install Half Life ²....that will probably solve your problem
