I must say, Im never one to moan about adverts and I have always thought nforce done a great job with keep the add's reasonable. These are slightly intrusive on the NFO's, do you think there is scope to move them to below rather than above?

I don't get one thing tough, is it bandwidth costs ? Because in the past i've offered to rewrite the HTML of all the pages to use proper CSS and it would save at least 65% of the bandwidth that is currently being used right now, but I was told that bandwidth wasn't a problem.

It isnt all about the bandwidth. It never was. It costs alot to keep the servers running, constantly having to upgrade, and who do you think pays for the pipe all those servers are sucking on? I can asure you, those ad's barely keep us running, just in case any of you thought we are rolling in dough. As we said before, we will NEVER put ad's up to make profit from this site, never.

There's alot more to it than you might think at first glance.

Im sorry we had to do these ads. We used to have just two banners which brought up enough money, but nowadays ads dont bring much up.

We are working on a better way to integrate the banners and minimize the effect it has (ugly) on the site. We might consider letting people donate "5euro/year" and they get a banner free site, whats your opinion on that?

As much as people say its a good idea, these things never catch on, as sad as that might be. I dont think the ad's on the site are in anyway intrusive, I never have (although the glass dildo one didnt help while I was at work Razz). Although the new ones do impose a little on the NFO's its not as if its destroying the site Razz!

You're doing a good job at keeping this place clean, a lot of admins would take advantage of a site with as much traffic as this.

sorry with the small bitch sentence who started this topic, I was a bit drunk yesterday and didn't took the time to explain what I mean Smile But yeah you understood, the pubs were like integrated into the nfos, like if you get paid more to do tricks like that? I don't think the advertisers asked you to put them there? Anyway, they are a little cleaner now... thx Smile

btw I never said you were making profit from this site
